East Lake Macquarie Historical Society Inc.
Goals
Our society will promote and encourage interest in Lake Macquarie history and provide opportunities for historical research and publications. Our society will acquire, record and undertake in a scholarly manner, research, conservation, display and interpretation of local historical and cultural material of the East Lake Macquarie region. Society members will promote interest in local history in a professional manner to the community and make available information to the public which will encourage participation and an awareness of the pre-settlement and development history.

Meeting Dates
Committee meetings are held on the fourth Thursday of each month at the Society’s address above. Meeting commences at 1pm. New members are always welcome.
Activities
The Society endeavours to obtain those artefacts and materials which are distinctly relevant to the history of East Lake Macquarie. All items are to be fully defined and documented in detail as to originating source, historical significance, uniqueness, value and in reasonably good condition and representative of the area. Age alone is not a consideration. Material and objects can be acquired by donation or loan. The ownership and copyright of property donated to the Society is fully recorded and acknowledged.
